Matthew is a Professional Land Surveyor who began his career in Land Surveying in 1988 as a survey crew rodman while attending high school.
After studying Land Surveying at Iowa State University and Southern Illinois University, Matthew graduated with an A.A.S. degree in Construction Technologies and Management and became an accomplished survey crew chief specializing in engineering design surveys and legal land surveys. Matthew continued his passion for surveying and became a Registered Professional Surveyor currently holding a license in the state of Arizona.
Matthew’s expertise in land surveying was necessary for the preparation of several high-profile projects in Iowa, Illinois and Arizona. He conducted the field surveys for 12 miles of highway corridor surveys, aerial survey control, hydrology studies, right of way acquisition, boundary and topographic surveys for Iowa Highway 100 Extension, performed 9 miles of corridor surveys for the Illinois Department of Transportation for the design improvements of Illinois Route 9, and he was the project manager for the construction staking and quality control of the Highway 93 Bypass in Wickenburg, Arizona including realignment of Highway 93 and US 60 intersection with the re-alignment of the Hassayampa River Bridge.
In 2008, Matthew founded Ament Professional Services with the vision to provide a concierge level of service in Engineering, Surveying and Mapping using leading edge technology in the industry.
Matthew has committed himself to preserving client satisfaction as our single most important goal, followed closely by a commitment to expand service capabilities within Ament Professional Services to be a one stop solution for our clients.
Scott has extensive experience in land development and civil engineering roles with a focus on customer service.

As a previous Owner / Land Developer, Scott has an inside understanding of the acquisition, feasibility, finance and entitlement processes that most engineers never see.
He has previously lead independent residential and commercial contracting companies as part of a vertically integrated corporate venture.
